So…This is Me

Cohabitating in peace for the moment

Let’s get the obvious things out of the way – I’m a bipolar, health impaired writer who lives on a farm, loves cooking and baking, enjoys the company of her husband and her two animal companions (who are named Whiskey – the terrier mix – and Reidar – the cat), author who is also an advocate for mental health care reform in the US. I write a broad spectrum of things – sci fi, fantasy, and even some little vignettes that don’t have elements of either in them. I don’t usually intend to write the last but I don’t find a place to add the elements and just finish them off without them.

Less obvious things – I’m now an advocate for full legalization of marijuana and for it to be taken off the federal list of illegal drugs. It’s helped me a lot with pain management and it’s kept me going on some of my bad depression days. I don’t use it often, but when I do, it’s been a huge help. I live in Oregon where it is fully legal, so I’m not ashamed to say I use it.

I also refuse to talk about politics and religion – mostly – unless they’re in a story. I get enough of that in other places. My beliefs are my own and I don’t feel like everyone needs to know about them. So if you try to bring them to my blog, expect to get booted out of the comments.

One last thing. I swear. A lot. So if I post a personal post and you see a lot of swear words – especially the word ‘fuck’ – don’t give me any shit about it. I’m not going to listen and I’ll probably just give you shit right back. My blog, my rules.

I love all of you who visit, who follow, and who comment. I really love comments. If you like what you see, drop me a comment. Let me know what you like about it. Do you see something that could be expanded upon? Tell me that too. I’m planning on expanding some of these little drabbles into longer stories – probably not novel length, but short story length – and I’d like to hear your thoughts on them. So please, comment away.

Bye for now. I’ll probably change this around from time to time, so watch for changes!
