Happy Anniversary to us

So, today is Halloween. For many of you it means dressing up in costumes (and dressing up your kids in costumes) and going trick or treating or to parties.

For me it’s different. As of the end of June, my husband and I have been together for sixteen years. Today I’ll have been married for thirteen years. It’s been a long and tough road but we’ve survived it together and we plan on spending many more years in each other’s company.

Our life together has been far from perfect. We’ve fought. We’ve faced losses. We’ve lost a good chunk of what we owned three times. We’ve been homeless. We’ve dealt with my mental health issues. But we’ve done it all together and that’s what’s important.

So I just want to say Happy Anniversary to my loving husband Tims. May we have many more years together.
